Abbreviations for biblical books in Novum Testamentum Graece Ever since I started my studies, I was always a little annoyed, that even scientific theology doesn't use a uniform list of abbreviations for biblical books. Considering, that all thelogians use the same greek New Testament, it should be easy to agree on this system (containing abbreviations for all biblical books). Unfortunately there is no list of these abbreviations in NT Graece, so I created one, as pdf. This can be downloaded here, and, printed out and cut to size, be attached to the inlay with the other abbreviations. | Unfortunately, the Novum Testamentum Graece1 doesn't contain a legend for the abbreviations of biblical book-names. In his book about the New Testament, Kurt Aland published a complete list of these abbreviations.2 The jpgs and the pdf below are scaled to glue or tape to the edge of the inlay (91mm x140mm). For other layouts, the texts can be copied from the pdf. This document also contains a legend for the Eusebii canones, also present in the gospels of the NT Graece.
